A practicing yogi since 2004, Melissa started her journey in the heated rooms of Bikram yoga, which led her to further explore the yoga world and find her life’s passion.
A yoga teacher with over 1000 teacher training hours, Melissa completed her first 200-hour certification under the International Yoga Federation in Salt Lake City, where she is certified to teach seven styles of yoga: Vinyasa Flow, Power Yoga, Ashtanga Vinyasa, Yoga Integral, Raja Yoga (Meditation), Restorative Yoga, Artistic Yoga, and Traditional Hatha Yoga. In 2010, Melissa completed her Level 2 Advance Power Vinyasa training with Core Power Yoga in Denver, and then in 2015, she completed her Ayurvedic Health Coach certification under Deepak Chopra. She is also certified in Barre3 Certification, and recently finished her 100-hour Yoga Therapy certification under Dr. Bo Forbes.
Melissa leads Women’s Yoga retreats all over the world, teaches yoga and barre classes in the Austin area, and has been a yogi entrepreneur in the wellness community for over 10 years. She is passionate about teaching, spiritual growth and self-awareness. By integrating yoga, wellness, and feminine and masculine energy, she brings the essence of empowerment, connection, and acknowledgment to each experience she encounters.
When not teaching yoga, Melissa loves a good cup of coffee, spending time with her two daughters, playing soccer, cooking and traveling.
